Gwen Strachan grew up in Bozeman, Montana and studied art at the University of California. She trained primarily as a painter. She is currently a member of the B. Hive Artist Co-Op in Livingston where she shows jewelry, sculpture and photography. She is also very fond of her day job at the Stafford Animal Shelter.
Shannan moved to Montana 9 years ago and could not pull herself away. As the Civil Deputy Park County Attorney she advises our local leaders and County board members and helps to preserve this special place. When she’s not elbows deep in the legal world she enjoys spending as much time outdoors hiking, biking, or skiing, you name it she’ll give it a go. The Danforth has allowed her to engage the right side of her brain and become immersed in the creative beauty of this community and Montana.
Edd Enders has been the unofficial ambassador for the Danforth Gallery for over a decade. He was born and raised in Livingston, MT and knows the community like the back of his hand. He studied fine art at Montana State University and has gone on to become a recognized painter in the region. His work has been exhibited widely as well as being featured in respected journals including The Montana Quarterly and New American Paintings. When not painting in his airy studio above the Danforth Gallery, Edd can be found attending Danforth committee meetings and spending time outside with his dog Jade.

The Danforth Board of Directors is an ambitious and lively bunch of locals who fulfill the mission of the Danforth by reaching out to our community, to sponsors, and to artists. We welcome individuals who have a passion for the arts, or are civic minded. Being on the Danforth Board is a labor of love and requires a decent time commitment. It is also great fun. There are three sub-committees comprised of Board members that meet occasionally and then report back to the Board at the monthly meetings. These committees include the Exhibition Committee, the Events Committee, and the Fundraising and Budget Committee.
The current Board consists of 10 members, four of whom are officers. Meetings are held monthly (current meeting day is the first Tuesday of each month). We ask that each board member commit to raising funds annually and attending the majority of meetings. We are particularly interested in board members with a background in business and non-profit fundraising.
If you are interested in joining the Board please contact our Board President, via the Danforth email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
